Why Shiatsu?
It's more than just a massage. Shiatsu penetrates deep into the body relaxing the muscles and calming
the mind. Tension is reduced and aches and pains are released. It leaves
you feeling relaxed, energetic and full of vitality. Having a Shiatsu
gives you permission to retreat from your busy hectic lifestyle to give
some time back to yourself.
What can Shiatsu do for you?
o Boost your immune system
o Calms your mind
o Relaxes your body
o Increase joint mobility
o Reduces tension
o Sleep better
o Manage pain
o Feel calmer
o Think clearly
o Helps digestion
2020 Hasn't been kind to us with Covid-19 and being in lockdown. But it doesn't mean we can't be kind to ourselves. Even more importantly, many have come to realise our health is top priority. And it's the little things that count. Like taking some quiet time for ourselves, getting fitter and boosting our immune systems.
Shiatsu is gentle, non-invasive and is very relaxing. Treatments are given on a futon and you remain fully clothed. Using palms and thumbs on your muscles, acu points and acu channels releases the tension and pain. I also use stretches and rotations to increase mobility and blood flow to the joints. Releasing the tension in your body helps your energy, lymph & blood circulate easily.
A diagnosis of your current health is made using traditional Chinese medicine, which has been in use in the east for thousands of years.
Massage is not just for your back pain, it can help with a whole range of symptoms from muscular pain to emotional stress. As your body becomes relaxed, so does the mind.
How long will the treatment take?
Treatments can last anything from 60 but allow 90 minutes. Depends on what you have time for. Taster treatments are also available.
How many treatments will I need?
As many as you want. You know your body best and you will know how often you need to come. Most people come every four to six weeks to keep on top of things.
Should I see my Doctor?
To put your mind at rest that there is not a serious underlying health issue, it's always good to have a chat with your GP. Especially if the symptoms have been persistent for more than two weeks.
